Terms of Use - SidusLabs
Welcome to SidusLabs. SidusLabs, founded by Vidith Soni (contact: siduslabs@gmail.com), provides the "Sidus" platform—an autonomous AI agent designed to act as your digital collaborator. Sidus leverages a marketplace of plugins, skills, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to assist users in automating workflows, processing information, and executing tasks.
Scope of these Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern the rights and obligations of SidusLabs and the User in connection with the use of the Sidus AI agent platform. By using Sidus, you agree to these terms. Deviating contractual terms do not apply unless expressly agreed upon in writing.
Prerequisite for Use
Use of Sidus requires an account and authorization to access the platform. Users are responsible for all activity conducted through their account, including the activation and execution of plugins, skills, and MCP tools.
Role of SidusLabs
SidusLabs provides the infrastructure and the autonomous agent framework. SidusLabs is not an employer, agent, or representative of the user. We are not involved in any business decisions, financial transactions, or legal actions triggered by the agent. Such actions are carried out solely under the responsibility and control of the User.
Restrictions on Use
Sidus must not be used to:
- Interfere with Platform Integrity: Access unauthorized areas; use automated scraping tools outside of provided interfaces; distribute malware; or disrupt the stability of the Sidus infrastructure.
- Engage in Illegal Activity: Infringe intellectual property rights, promote violence, or engage in any criminal activities.
- Manipulate or Deceive: Create fake identities, spread misinformation, conduct phishing, or influence democratic processes and elections.
- Endanger Others: Promote self-harm, animal cruelty, child exploitation, or the development of dangerous materials/weapons.
- Unauthorized Access: Bypass security controls, intercept communications, or conduct social engineering.
No Decompilation
Users are prohibited from deciphering, decompiling, or attempting to discover the underlying source code or proprietary architecture of the Sidus agent platform and its integrated MCP plugins.
User Obligations & Responsibility
- Autonomous Nature: You acknowledge that Sidus is an autonomous AI agent in active development. You must ensure Sidus is used only in environments where potential malfunctions cannot cause substantial business or personal harm.
- AI Uncertainty: You understand that agent outputs and actions (e.g., file edits, messages) may be erroneous, incomplete, or unsuitable. All actions performed by the agent must be monitored.
- Prompt Accountability: You bear full responsibility for the content of your prompts. Prompts must be clear, ethical, and not designed to circumvent protective mechanisms.
- Tool/Plugin Oversight: You are responsible for any plugins, skills, or MCP servers you choose to integrate. SidusLabs is not responsible for the performance or security of third-party tools.
- Credential Protection: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Never share your credentials.
High-Risk Use Cases & Human-in-the-Loop
For high-stakes workflows, the following safeguards must be implemented:
- Human-in-the-Loop: For any task involving advice, decision-making, or content intended for external publication, you must personally review the agent's work before it is finalized.
- Financial/Asset Context: Sidus does not provide financial or investment advice. Any use in financial or asset-relevant contexts is at your sole risk. You are responsible for implementing "kill switches," trading limits, and approval mechanisms.
- Sensitive Sectors: Exercise extreme caution if using Sidus in Law, Healthcare, Insurance, HR, or Academic settings. You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all professional regulations in these fields.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, SidusLabs is not liable for any direct or indirect damages, lost profits, or data loss resulting from the use or inability to use the Sidus agent. The user assumes all risk associated with autonomous task execution.
Final Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid one that best reflects the economic purpose of the original.
